Highlights:
- Pikes Peak 🗻 America’s Mountain
- Denver ➡️ Colorado Springs

Fact #1 of the day
Denver is the sports town in America! Home to 5 major league sports teams including Denver Broncos (NFL), Colorado Rockies (MLB), Colorado Avalanche (NHL), Colorado Rapids (MLS), and Denver Nuggets (NBA)
Pikes Peak
The peak is one of the most famous mountains in the United States. 12 Miles from the center of Colorado Springs, Pikes Peak has an impressive altitude of 4302 m.
We had about an hour to drive up to the summit. Even thought the road was curvy and had a steep drop, only short parts of the road had guard rails. 😧 We safely made it to the top with sweaty hand palms 🤣 and on the way even saw an yellow bellied marmot on the side of the road. It stopped just next to the road and sat up to look at the cars driving by. 😄 And on the way down nearly drove into a wild deer. Driving down our brakes overheated, luckily they run checks on every car’s breaks driving down and warned us🙏
Denver ➡️ Colorado Springs
We initially weren’t fans of Downtown Denver, but the suburbs while driving toward Colorado Springs completely changed our perception. The areas were incredibly clean and green, making them seem like a great place to live (special mention to Castle Pines). The drive itself was interesting, as you travel right alongside the Rocky Mountains, yet the terrain remains mostly surprisingly flat, adding to the unique landscape.

Fact #2 of the day
Colorado Springs housed the most millionaires per capita in all of america for quite some time. Has beautiful scenery, great climate (over 300 days sunshine), business/tech growth and relative low property taxes
